Okie so im checking through the new changes to come with the new update and soon to come expansion, and I come across the section of Weapon Skill Adjustments. The following 2-handed Weapon skills to be adjusted will be; Tachi Kasha, Tachi Gekko and Tachi Yukikazi.
So I look again to see if maybe i misread this and once again I realize that Samurai has been singled out.
There are maybe 2 to 3 job types that can benefit the party with dmg and support and Samurai is 1 of those. I've yet to see what this "adjustment" really has done to screw the job, but from what I've just read, it doesnt look good.
When I decided to play FFXI, it was to join family already playing here and to open and play 1 job, Samurai. I literally zoomed to 75 on the job and did my best to learn every aspect of the abilities so that I could be considered as one of the best on our server. I spent over a year farming NM's or the gil to aquire the best equipment to play this 1 job. Ive spent countless hours in merit parties to improve my stats, traits and abilities. I passed the test required to unlock my final Weapon Skill and mastered my Great Katana skill and timing to be able to do several "self" Skillchains and to instinctly know how to chain with other members of the party and their weapon skills regardless of their weapon. Samurai isnt an easy job to master and there is what makes it so much fun to play. Until now... At the wave of the hands of the Game Developers and their slightest whim, they can randomly decide to change chit!
Well they can kiss my pale green Galka butt! That's right, Pucker up Buttercake and take a nice long smooch!
